God, Hope & Helping Others

How do we reconcile this? It is written in John 3:3-7 ‘(3) Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. (4) Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? (5) Jesus answered, Verily, verily I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. (6) That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. (7) Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again’. According to Jesus unless a person is “born again” of the Spirit he cannot see the kingdom of God.

If a person is born again, then they are going to see the kingdom of God, correct?

In Revelation 22:11-15, it is written: ‘(11) He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. (12) And, behold, I come quickly; and My reward is with Me, to give every man according as his work shall be. (13) I Am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. (14) Blessed are they that do His commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. (15) For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murders, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie’. It is further written in Revelation 22:18-19 ‘(18) For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: (19) And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book’.

The bible declares that upon being “born again” one has their name written into the book of life, also known as the Lamb’s book of life. Having ones name written into the book of life will allow the angels guarding the gates of the heavenly kingdom of God, your entrance into the heavenly city.

According to what we have just read, being born again does not guarantee entrance into the kingdom of God. One must also be righteous and holy. Jesus says that His reward is with Him, to give every man according as his work shall be. It is further stated that “without” are dogs, sorcerers, whoremongers, murders, idolaters and whosoever loveth and makes a lie. It also states that those who add to the Book of Revelation or take away from what is written in this book; God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

For those counting on a religious affiliation, pastor, creed, church attendance, offerings, etc. to get them to heaven: they might want to re-think/consider their position with God. Jesus states that even though one may be born again and have their name written into the book of life, God will reward them according as his work shall be. Are we living our lives according to the standard of His righteousness? Do we walk moment by moment pleasing Him? Or, are we doing things our way, which may not be pleasing Him?

It is the Ministry of NSearch that all inherit the Kingdom of God

But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law....

Now the works of the flesh are evident,

which are adultery fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,

idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies,

outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy,

murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like;

of which I (Paul the Apostle) tell you beforehand,

just as I also told you in time past, that those who

practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering,

kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control,

against such there is no law. Those who are Christ's

have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Let us not become conceited, provoking one another,

envying one another.
