God, Hope & Helping Others

I’ve heard from people how to get to heaven. They told me many ways to get to heaven. Say a sinner’s prayer, join a church, believe in Jesus, do good things, etc. I remember reading what Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 4:7 ‘I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:’ He also wrote in 1 Corinthians 9:24-25 ‘(24) Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. (25) And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible’. I also read what Jesus said in Revelation 3:5 ‘He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before My Father, and before His angels’. It seems to me that entrance into heaven is not as easy to obtain as others imply it is. The Apostle Paul states that in life there is a faithful fight to finish, and a race to not only run in life, but to complete. Jesus states that it is an overcomer that will be clothed in white raiment, have their name written into the book of life and live in heaven with the Father. Apparently it’s possible to loose the fight, not finish our race, nor be an overcomer. Simply calling ones self a Christian doesn’t guarantee entrance into heaven. I don’t see attending congregational meetings assures entrance into heaven. There must be more. I wanted to know from the bible what Jesus had to say about a person’s entrance into heaven. Here’s what I found out. Matt 4:17 ‘From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand’. Matt 5:3 ‘Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven’. Matt 5:8 ‘Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God’. Matt 5:9 ‘Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God’. Matt 5:10 ‘Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven’. Matt 5:20 ‘For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven’. Matt 5:48 ‘Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect’. Matt 6:14-15 ‘For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: (15) But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses’. Matt 7:1-2 ‘(1) Judge not, that ye be not judged. (2) For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again’. Matt 7:21-23 ‘(21) Not every one that saith unto Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven. (22) Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? (23) And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity’. Matt 10:32-33 ‘(32) Whosoever therefore shall confess Me before men, him will I confess also before My Father which is in heaven. (33) But whosoever shall deny Me before men, him will I also deny before My Father which is in heaven’. Mark 1:15 ‘And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel’. Mark 3:28-29 ‘(28) Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme: (29) But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:’. Mark 11:25-26 ‘(25) And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have aught against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. (26) But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses’. Luke 6:36-37 ‘(36) Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful. (37) Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:’. Luke 12:10 ‘And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven’. Luke 13:2-5 ‘(2) And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galileans were sinners above all the Galileans, because they suffered such things? (3) I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. (4) Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? (5) I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish’. Luke 18:17 ‘Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall in no wise enter therein’. Luke 18:24-25 ‘(24) And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! (25) For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God’. John 3:3 ‘Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God’. John 3:5-6 ‘(5) Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. (6) That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit’. John 3:15-18 ‘(15) That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. (16) For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (17) For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved. (18) He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God’. John 14:6 ‘Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.’

It is the Ministry of NSearch that all inherit the Kingdom of God

But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law....

Now the works of the flesh are evident,

which are adultery fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,

idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies,

outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy,

murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like;

of which I (Paul the Apostle) tell you beforehand,

just as I also told you in time past, that those who

practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering,

kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control,

against such there is no law. Those who are Christ's

have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Let us not become conceited, provoking one another,

envying one another.
