God, Hope & Helping Others

Now Jesus reveals the fate of His followers “Christians” at that time in future history. Future history from the time He is revealing this knowledge to His disciples.

Matthew 24:9 ‘Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you; and ye shall be hated of all nations for My name’s sake’. Then in the Greek is: G5119 ότεtote tot'-eh From (the neuter of) G3588 and G3753; the when, that is, at the time that (of the past or future, also in consecution): - that time, then. Shall they deliver you up in the Greek is: G3860 παραδίδωμι paradidōmi par-ad-id'-o-mee From G3844 and G1325; to surrender, that is, yield up, intrust, transmit: - betray, bring forth, cast, commit, deliver (up), give (over, up), hazard, put in prison, recommend. Also, shall they deliver you up in the Greek is: G5209 ὑμᾶςhumas hoo-mas' Accusative of G5210; you (as the object of a verb or preposition): - ye, you, (+ -ward), your (+ own). Do you see what Jesus is revealing about Christian persecution in that time of history? In the United States of America today, Christian persecution is barely noticeable. However, in the days Jesus is describing, Christians are the hunted, betrayed and the persecuted unto death Christians.

Christian persecution has been recorded throughout history. In the first and second centuries, the Roman Emperors would have Christians placed along the sides of roads, nailed to stakes or crosses, doused with pitch or oil and set ablaze as human torches. Other methods of torture and murder would befall Christians, but for the most part, those Christians loved Jesus more than they loved their own life. They remained faithful unto Him, didn’t deny Him as the Lord God and Messiah, even unto their death. They have huge rewards in heaven. We know from Revelation 20:4 that ‘...and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in the hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years’. So, in those days that Jesus is revealing, beheading is a favorite form of death for the Christian. Today Chinese Mobil Execution Vans, that look like RV’s, execute many people as criminals. This includes Christians. I’ve read where these cremation vans can burn a victim to dust in 3 minutes. Here’s a link about these vans. https://www.jesus-is-savior.com/Disturbing%20Truths/chinese_death_v... By the way, I’ve read where these vans exist in the USA now, are in underground facilities and are in use today. With USA Govt permission? Yep! Can you say traitors!

Matthew 24:10 ‘And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another’. Offended in the Greek is: G4624 σκανδαλίζω skandalizō skan-dal-id'-zo To “scandalize”; from G4625; to entrap, that is, trip up (figuratively stumble [transitively] or entice to sin, apostasy or displeasure): - (make to) offend. Shall betray in the Greek is: G3860 παραδίδωμι paradidōmi par-ad-id'-o-mee From G3844 and G1325; to surrender, that is, yield up, intrust, transmit: - betray, bring forth, cast, commit, deliver (up), give (over, up), hazard, put in prison, recommend. Hate in the Greek is: G3404 μισέωmiseō mis-eh'-o From a primary word μῖσος misos (hatred); to detest (especially to persecute); by extension to love less: - hate (-ful). Jesus is speaking of not only all people alive at the time, but especially He is speaking of Christians and how professing Christians are treating other Christians. Shocking, isn’t it? It’s easy to be a Christian today; however, it seems things are quite evil in the days Jesus is describing.

Matthew 24:11 ‘And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many’. This seems very clear to me. Unless one is knowledgeable of the scriptures, clinging to Jesus in full surrender unto Him in that day, they may very well not make it to the finish of their race.

Matthew 24:12 ‘And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold’. Iniquity in the Greek is: G458 ἀνομίαanomia an-om-ee'-ah From G459; illegality, that is, violation of law or (generally) wickedness: - iniquity, X transgress (-ion of) the law, unrighteousness. Sounds just like today, doesn’t it? News in the USA today shows transgression of the law and lovelessness unto others.

Matthew 24:13 ‘But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved’. Enduring until the end seems to be a very difficult venture in that day. What with earthquakes, famine, pestilence, mark of the beast and of course for Christians there remains betrayal, hatred and murder.

Matthew 24:14 ‘And the gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come’. What end is Jesus speaking of? It’s not the end of the world. It’s not the end of time. It’s not the end of humanity. It might be the end of the preparation for the tribulation. I really don’t know for certain. Maybe you have an idea? If all nations have now received the gospel message, then I’d say maybe it’s time for the tribulation to begin.

It is the Ministry of NSearch that all inherit the Kingdom of God

But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law....

Now the works of the flesh are evident,

which are adultery fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,

idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies,

outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy,

murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like;

of which I (Paul the Apostle) tell you beforehand,

just as I also told you in time past, that those who

practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering,

kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control,

against such there is no law. Those who are Christ's

have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Let us not become conceited, provoking one another,

envying one another.

Galatians 5:18-26
