EATING FRUIT 

This is informative! 

We all think eating fruit means just buying fruit, cutting it up and popping it into our mouths..
It's not that easy. It's important to know how and when to eat
fruit. 


What's the correct way to eat fruit? 

IT MEANS NOT EATING FRUIT AFTER A MEAL!  FRUIT SHOULD BE EATEN ON
AN EMPTY STOMACH.
 

Eating fruit like that plays a major role in detoxifying your system, supplying you with a great
deal of energy for weight loss and other life activities. 


FRUIT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FOOD.

Let's say you eat two slices of bread, then a slice of fruit. The slice of fruit is ready to go straight through the stomach into the intestines, but it's prevented from doing
so. 


In the meantime, the whole meal rots and ferments, and turns to acid. The minute the fruit comes into contact
with the food in the stomach, and digestive juices, the entire mass of food
begins to spoil.
 


Eat your fruit on an empty stomach, or before your meal! You've heard people complain: Every time I eat watermelon I burp, when I eat durian my stomach
bloats, when I eat a banana I feel like running to the toilet, etc. This will
not happen if you eat the fruit on an empty stomach. Fruit mixes with the
putrefying other food and produces gas. Hence, you bloat! 

 
 
There's no such thing as some fruits, like orange and lemon are acidic, because all
fruit becomes alkaline in our body, according to Dr. Herbert Shelton who did
research on this matter. If you have mastered the correct way of eating fruit,
you have the Secret of Beauty, Longevity, Health, Energy, Happiness and normal
weight.

When you need to drink fruit juice drink only fresh fruit juice, NOT the concentrated juice from the cans.
Don't drink juice that has been heated. Don't eat cooked fruit; you don't get
the nutrients at all. You get only the taste. Cooking destroys all of the
vitamins. 


Eating a whole fruit is better than drinking the juice. If you should drink the juice, drink it mouthful by mouthful
slowly, because you must let it mix with your saliva before swallowing it. You
can go on a 3-day fruit-fast to cleanse your body. Eat fruit and drink fruit
juice for just 3 days, and you will be surprised when your friends say how
radiant you look! 


KIWI: Tiny but mighty, and a good source of potassium, magnesium, vitamin E and fibre. Its
vitamin C content is twice that of an orange! 


AN APPLE a day keeps the doctor away? Although an apple has a low vitamin C content, it has
antioxidants and flavonoids which enhances the activity of vitamin C, thereby
helping to lower the risk of colon cancer, heart attack and
stroke. 


STRAWBERRY: Protective Fruit. Strawberries have the highest total antioxidant power among major fruits and protect the body
from cancer-causing, blood vessel-clogging free radicals. 

 
EATING 2 - 4 ORANGES a day may help keep colds away,
lower cholesterol, prevent and dissolve kidney stones, and reduce the risk of
colon cancer. 


WATERMELON: Coolest thirst quencher. Composed of  92% water, it is also packed with a giant dose of
glutathione, which helps boost our immune system. Also a key source of
lycopene, the cancer-fighting oxidant. Also found in watermelon: Vitamin C and
Potassium.


GUAVA & PAPAYA: Top awards for vitamin C. They are
the clear winners for their high vitamin C content. Guava is also rich in fiber,
which helps prevent constipation. Papaya is rich in carotene, good for your
eyes. 


Drinking Cold water after a meal = Cancer!

Can you believe this? For those who like to drink cold water, this applies to you. It's nice to have a cold drink after a meal, however, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that
you've just consumed, which slows digestion. Once this 'sludge' reacts with the
acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid
food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead
to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a
meal. 


A serious note about heart attacks.

HEART ATTACK PROCEDURE

Women should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting. Be aware of intense pain in the jaw. You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a
heart attack. Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms. Sixty
percent of people who have a heart attack while they're asleep do not wake up.
Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Be careful, and be aware. The
more we know, the better our chance to survive. 

 
A cardiologist said if everyone who gets this mail sends it to 10 people, you can
be sure that we'll save at least one life.

Cinnamon and Honey
Honey is
the only food on the
planet that will not spoil or rot. It will do

              what some call turning to sugar. In reality honey is always
honey.

              However, when left in a cool dark place for a long time it will do

              what I rather call "crystallizing".   When this happens I

              loosen the lid, boil some water, and sit the honey container in

              the hot water,turn off the heat and let it

              liquefy. It is then as good as it ever was. Never boil honey or

              put it in a microwave. To do so will kill the enzymes in the

              honey.

Cinnamon and Honey

Bet the drug companies won't like this one getting around.  Facts on
Honey

              and Cinnamon:  It is found that a mixture of honey and

              Cinnamon cures most diseases. Honey is produced in most of the

              countries of the world. Scientists of today also accept honey as a

              'Ram Ban' (very effective) medicine for all kinds of diseases.

               Honey can be used without any side effects for any kind of

              diseases.

Today's science says that even though honey is

              sweet, if taken in the right dosage as a medicine, it does not

              harm diabetic patients.   Weekly World News, a magazine in

              Canada , in its issue dated 17 January,1995 has given the

              following list of diseases that can be cured by honey and cinnamon

              as researched by western scientists:

HEART  DISEASES:

Make a paste of honey and cinnamon powder,

              apply on bread, instead of jelly and jam, and eat it regularly for

              breakfast. It reduces the cholesterol in the arteries and saves

              the patient from heart attack.
 Also, those who
have

              already had an attack, if they do this process daily, they are

              kept miles away from the next attack. Regular use of the above

              process relieves loss of breath and strengthens the heart beat.

              
 In America and Canada, various nursing homes

              have treated patients successfully and have found that as you age,

              the arteries and veins lose their flexibility and get clogged;

              honey and cinnamon revitalize the arteries and veins.

              

ARTHRITIS:

Arthritis patients may take

              daily, morning and night, one cup of hot water with two spoons of

              honey and one small teaspoon of cinnamon powder. If taken

              regularly even chronic arthritis can be cured. In a recent

              research conducted at the Copenhagen University, it was found that

              when the doctors treated their patients with a mixture of one

              tablespoon Honey and half teaspoon Cinnamon powder before

              breakfast, they found that within a week, out of the 200 people so

              treated, practically 73 patients were totally relieved of pain,

              and within a month, mostly all the patients who could not walk
or

              move around because of arthritis started walking without pain.

              

BLADDER INFECTIONS:

Take two tablespoons

              of cinnamon powder and one teaspoon of honey in a glass
of

              lukewarm water and drink it. It destroys the germs in the bladder.

              

CHOLESTEROL
:

Two tablespoons of honey

              and three teaspoons of Cinnamon Powder mixed in 16 ounces of tea

              water, given to a cholesterol patient, was found to reduce the

              level of cholesterol in the blood by 10 percent within two hours.

                As mentioned for arthritic patients, if taken three times a

              day, any chronic cholesterol is cured. According to information

              received in the said Journal, pure honey taken with food daily

              relieves complaints of cholesterol.

COLDS:

Those suffering from common or severe colds should take

              one tablespoon lukewarm honey with 1/4 spoon cinnamon powder daily

              for three days. This process will cure most chronic cough, cold,

              and clear the sinuses.

UPSET STOMACH:

Honey taken with cinnamon powder cures stomach ache and

              also clears stomach ulcers from the root.

              

GAS
:
According to the studies

              done in India and Japan, it is revealed that if Honey is taken

              with cinnamon powder the stomach is relieved of gas.

              

IMMUNE SYSTEM:

Daily use of honey and

              cinnamon powder strengthens the immune system and protects the

              body from bacterial and viral attacks. Scientists have found that

              honey has various vitamins and iron in large amounts. Constant use

              of Honey strengthens the white blood corpuscles to fight bacterial

              and viral diseases.

INDIGESTION:

Cinnamon powder sprinkled on two tablespoons of honey

              taken before food relieves acidity and digests the heaviest
of

              meals.

INFLUENZA
:
A scientist in

              Spain has proved that honey contains a natural ' Ingredient' which

              kills the influenza germs and saves the patient from flu.

              

LONGEVITY
:
Tea made with honey

              and cinnamon powder, when taken regularly, arrests the ravages of

              old age. Take four spoons of honey, one spoon of cinnamon powder,

              and three cups of water and boil to make like tea. Drink 1/4 cup,

              three to four times a day. It keeps the skin fresh and soft and

              arrests old age. Life spans also increase and even a 100 year old,

              starts performing the chores of a 20-year-old.

              

PIMPLES
:
Three tablespoons of

              honey and one teaspoon of cinnamon powder paste. Apply this paste

              on the pimples before sleeping and wash it next morning with warm

              water. If done daily for two weeks, it removes pimples from the

              root.

SKIN INFECTIONS:

Applying honey

              and cinnamon powder in equal parts on the affected parts cures

              eczema, ringworm and all types of skin infections.

              

WEIGHT LOSS:

Daily in the morning one

              half hour before breakfast on an empty stomach, and at night

              before sleeping, drink honey and cinnamon powder boiled in one cup

              of water. If taken regularly, it reduces the weight of even the

              most obese person. Also, drinking this mixture regularly does not

              allow the fat to accumulate in the body even though the person may

              eat a high calorie diet.

CANCER:

Recent

              research in Japan and Australia has revealed that advanced cancer

              of the stomach and bones have been cured successfully.
Patients

              suffering from these kinds of cancer should daily take one

              tablespoon of honey with one teaspoon of cinnamon powder for one

              month three times a day.

FATIGUE
:
Recent studies have shown that the sugar content of honey is

              more helpful rather than being detrimental to the strength of the

              body. Senior citizens, who take honey and cinnamon powder in
equal

              parts, are more alert and flexible. Dr. Milton, who has done

              research, says that a half tablespoon of honey taken in a glass of

              water and sprinkled with cinnamon powder, taken daily after

              brushing and in the afternoon at about 3:00 P.M. when the vitality

              of the body starts to decrease, increases the vitality of the body

              within a week.

BAD BREATH:

People of

              South America, first thing in the morning, gargle with one

              teaspoon of honey and cinnamon powder mixed in hot water, so their

              breath stays fresh throughout the day.

HEARING

              LOSS:

Daily morning and night honey and cinnamon

              powder, taken in equal parts restores hearing. Remember when we

              were kids? We had toast with real butter and cinnamon sprinkled on

              it!

In October of 2001, my Friend's sister started getting very sick. She had stomach
spasms and she was having a hard time getting around.  Walking was a major
chore.
  It
took everything she had just to get out of bed; she was in so much pain. 

By March 2002, she had undergone several tissue and muscle biopsies and was on 24 various
prescription medications.  The doctors could not determine what was wrong with
her.
  She
was in so much pain, and so sick she just knew she was
dying.
 

She put her house, bank accounts, life insurance, etc., in her oldest daughter's
name, and made sure that her younger children were to be taken care of. 

She also wanted her last hooray, so she planned a trip to Florida (basically in a wheelchair) for
March 22nd. 

On March 19 her brother called her to ask how her most recent tests went, and she
said they didn't find anything on the test, but they believed she had
MS.
 He
recalled an article a friend of his e-mailed to him and he asked his sister if
she drank diet soda?
 

She told him that she did...As a matter of fact, she was getting ready to crack one
open that moment. 

He told her not to open it, and to stop drinking the diet soda!
  He
then  e-mailed her the article his friend had sent.
 

His sister called within 32 hours after their phone conversation and told him she
had stopped drinking the diet soda AND she could walk! 

The muscle spasms went away. She said she didn't feel 100% but, she sure felt a lot
better.


She told him she was going to her doctor with this article and would call him when
she got home. 

Well, she called and said her doctor was amazed!
  He
is going to call all of his MS patients to find out if they consumed artificial
sweeteners of any kind.
 

In a nutshell, she was being poisoned by the Aspartame in the diet soda...and
literally dying a slow and miserable death. 

When she got to Florida March 22, all she had to take was one pill, and that was a pill for the
Aspartame poisoning!
   She
is well on her way to a complete recovery. And she is
walking!
 
No wheelchair!
   This
article saved her life.
 

If it says 'SUGAR FREE' on the label;
   DO
NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!   He has spent several days lecturing at the WORLD
ENVIRONMENTAL CONFERENCE on 'ASPARTAME,' marketed as 
'Nutra
Sweet,'
 
'Equal,' and 'Spoonful.' 

In the keynote address by the EPA, it was announced that in the United States in
2001 there was an epidemic of multiple sclerosis and systemic lupus.  It was
difficult to determine exactly what toxin was causing this to be
rampant.
  He
stood up and said that he was there to lecture on exactly that
subject.
 

To explain why Aspartame is so dangerous:
 
When the temperature of this sweetener exceeds 86 degrees F, the wood alcohol in
ASPARTAME converts to formaldehyde and then to formic acid, which in turn causes
metabolic acidosis.. Formic acid is the poison found in the sting of fire
ants.
 
The methanol toxicity mimics, among other conditions, multiple sclerosis and
systemic lupus.
 

Many people were being diagnosed in error. 
Although multiple sclerosis is not a death sentence, Methanol toxicity is! 

Systemic lupus has become almost as rampant as multiple sclerosis, especially with 
Diet
Coke and Diet Pepsi drinkers. 


The victim usually does not know that the Aspartame is the
culprit.
  He
or she continues its use; irritating the lupus to such a degree that it may
become a life-threatening condition.
 

We have seen patients with systemic lupus become asymptotic, once taken off diet
sodas.. 
In cases of those diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, most of the symptoms disappear. We've
seen many cases where vision loss  returned and hearing loss improved
markedly. 

This also applies to cases of tinnitus and fibromyalgia.
 


During a lecture, he said,  'If
you are using ASPARTAME (
Nutra
Sweet, Equal, Spoonful, etc
)
and you suffer from fibromyalgia symptoms, spasms, shooting, pains, numbness in
your legs,Cramps, Vertigo,
 
Dizziness,
 Headaches, Tinnitus, Joint pain, 
Unexplainable depression, anxiety attacks, slurred speech, blurred vision, or memory loss you
probably have ASPARTAME poisoning!'
 
People were jumping up during the lecture saying, 'I
have some of these symptoms.
  Is
it reversible?' 

Yes!
 
Yes!
 
Yes!
 
STOP drinking diet sodas and be alert for Aspartame on food
labels!
  Many
products are fortified with it!
 

This is a serious problem.
 
Dr. Espart (one of the speakers) remarked that so many people seem to be symptomatic
for MS and during his recent visit to a hospice; a nurse stated that six of her
friends, who were heavy 
Diet
Coke
addicts,
had all been diagnosed with MS. This is beyond coincidence! 

Diet soda is 
NOT a diet product! It is a chemically altered, multiple SODIUM (salt) and ASPARTAME
containing product that actually makes you crave carbohydrates. It is far more
likely to make you GAIN weight!
 
These products also contain formaldehyde, which stores in the fat cells, particularly
in the hips and thighs.  Formaldehyde is an absolute toxin and is used primarily
to preserve 'tissue specimens.'
 

Many products we use every day contain this chemical but we SHOULD NOT store it IN
our body! 


Dr. H. J. Roberts stated in his lectures that once free of
the
 'diet
products
'
and with no significant increase in exercise; his patients lost an average of 19
pounds over a trial period. 

Aspartame is especially dangerous for diabetics.
 


They found that some physicians, who believed that they had a patient with
retinopathy, in fact, had symptoms caused by Aspartame.
  The
Aspartame drives the blood sugar out of control.
 

Thus diabetics may suffer acute memory loss due to the fact that aspartic acid and
phenylalanine are NEUROTOXIC when taken without the other amino acids necessary
for a good balance. 

Treating diabetes is all about BALANCE.
 
Especially with diabetics, the Aspartame passes the blood/brain barrier and it then
deteriorates the neurons of the brain; causing various levels of brain
damage,
  Seizures,  Depression, Manic
depression, Panic attacks,
 
Uncontrollable anger and rage. 

Consumption of Aspartame causes these same symptoms in non-diabetics as well.  Documentation
and observation also reveal that thousands of children diagnosed with ADD and
ADHD have had complete turnarounds in their behavior when these chemicals have
been removed from their diet.
 

So called 'behavior modification prescription drugs' (Ritalin and others) are no
longer needed..
   Truth
be told, they were never NEEDED in the first place! 


Most of these children were being 'poisoned' on a daily basis with the very foods
that were 'better for them than sugar.' 

It is also suspected that the Aspartame in thousands of pallets of 
Diet
Coke and Diet Pepsi 
consumed
by men and women fighting in the Gulf War, may be partially to blame for the
well-known Gulf War Syndrome. 

Dr. Roberts warns that it can cause birth defects, i.e. mental retardation, if taken at the time
of conception and during early pregnancy.
 


Children are especially at risk for neurological disorders and should NEVER be given
artificial sweeteners. 


There are many different case histories to relate of children suffering grand mal
seizures and other neurological disturbances talking about a plague of
neurological diseases directly caused by the use of this deadly poison.' 

Herein lies the problem:
 
There were Congressional Hearings when Aspartame was included in 100 different
products and strong objection was made concerning its use. Since this initial
hearing, there have been two subsequent hearings, and still nothing has been
done.
   The
drug and chemical lobbies have very deep pockets. 

Sadly, MONSANTO'S patent on Aspartame has EXPIRED!
   There
are now over 5,000 products on the market that contain this deadly chemical and
there will be thousands more introduced.  Everybody wants a 'piece of the
Aspartame pie.'
 

I assure you that MONSANTO, the creator of Aspartame, knows how deadly it is. 

And isn't it ironic that MONSANTO funds, among others, the American Diabetes Association, the
American Dietetic Association and the Conference of the American College of
Physicians? 

This has been recently exposed in the New York Times.
 

These [organizations] cannot criticize any additives or convey their link to MONSANTO
because they take money from the food industry and are required to endorse their
products. 

Senator Howard Metzenbaum wrote and presented a bill that would require label warnings on
products containing Aspartame, especially regarding pregnant women, children and
infants. 


The bill would also institute independent studies on the known dangers and the
problems existing in the general population regarding seizures, changes in brain
chemistry, neurological changes and behavioral symptoms. 

The bill was killed. 

It is known that the powerful drug and chemical lobbies are responsible for this,
letting loose the hounds of disease and death on an unsuspecting and uninformed
public. Well, you're informed now!

I'm adding this only because it's  one of those rare thoughts erupted in my brain today on the drive into work. Starbright would call it intuition and I tend to agree.

For no particular reason the thought of aluminum and it's  alleged link to Alzheimer's (I forgot how to spell Alzheimer's .........hummm) came to mind. In particular, I am well aware of the  alleged  link to aluminum cookware and Alzheimer's.  But it just dawned on me how many times we still cook with aluminum foil.  Putting cookies on the cookie tray (to bake) so it's easier to clean etc. But the big one that stood out was how many times we wrapped potatoes in aluminum foil and threw them on the barbecue over an open flame, when camping would throw the wrapped potato on the hot embers. Now, with that image in your mind, how many times did you unwrap the potato and notice the foil was blackened, and crumbly. The foil was breaking down.

 

Now, I'm not a scientist, so don't nobody sue me, I'm just throwing out a thought I had...take from it what you will and by all means do the research.

 

I do know aluminum foil makes great hats!.......Now what was the topic again??

In patients having Alzheimer's disease the brain is somewhat shrunken and, on postmortum examination, a definite loss of nervous tissue is noted. Examination of the brain tissues under a microscope reveals small
bundles of material called senile plaques, scattered throughout the tissues.
The more plaques that are present, the worse is the mental condition of
the patient. Chemical analysis reveals the presence of the metal aluminum
at the core of each plaque and within many of the cells found in the plaques.
Evidence is accumulating to indicate that aluminum may be involved in the
formation of the plaques, and it is therefore a prime suspect as the initial
cause of the disease.

 
Five population studies now link Alzheimer's disease to aluminum in drinking water. As early as 1885, aluminum was shown to be toxic to the nervous tissues of animals. Aluminum can also produce a
degeneration of the nervous tissues in cats and rabbits that resembles
in some ways that seen in the brains of human patients with Alzheimer's
disease. Patients with diseased kidneys accumulate large amounts of aluminum
in their bodies from medications and from kidney-machine solutions that
have been used until recently. This accumulation results in a severe mental
deterioration.

 
Aluminum is the third most common element in the earth's crust. "Normal" dietary intake of aluminum is about 3 to 5 mg per day, of which only a very small amount is absorbed by the body's tissues.
The aluminum to which we are exposed comes from many sources, and most
of these are under our control. Dust, water, and even unprocessed foods
contain aluminum that may be difficult to avoid. But aluminum in cosmetics,
many medicines, food additives (for example, some brands of baking powders,
and highly absorbable aluminum maltol used in instant chocolate mixes),
cans, kitchenware, and utensils can be easily avoided. A very popular antacid,
Amphojel, consists of aluminum hydroxide.

 
Most of this daily intake is eliminated by healthy kidneys. However, some individuals seem to absorb aluminum more readily, or are less able to eliminate it; these people, who cannot be identified before
symptoms begin, are most likely to suffer from Alzheimer's disease. Certainly
not every one of the multitudes of us who have been fed for a lifetime
on foods cooked in aluminum pots and pans will end our days in this world
as severely mentally deficient patients. Aluminum is only one strongly
suspected culprit. Scientists believe that other factors, yet to be identified,
are involved in the interactions that allow the body to suffer this form
of degeneration.

 
Some scientists are particularily worried about inhaled aluminum because autopsy studies have shown a high proportion of senile plaques in the olfactory (smelling) lobes of the brain. Spray antiperspirants
would be a likely product for this concern.

 
Your choice of cookware is important. Glass and porcelain are relatively nonreactive with foods. Metal cookware does react with the acids in foods and the metal ions thereby released gain access to your
body. In the case of copper, iron, and stainless steel cookware the metals
are actually essential trace elements, and therefore make a valuable nutritional
contribution if they are not absorbed in excess. Aluminum, on the other
hand, not only has no recognized function in the body, but is toxic.

 
My Recommendations: Based on present information prudent action would be to avoid all sources of ingestable and inhaled aluminum. Those who fail to heed this advice will serve as "guinea pigs"
for the human experiments that may eventually prove the presence or absence
of serious health effects of aluminum.

 
Two years of investigation were reported in the Lancet in 1991 using an aluminum chelating agent, desferrioxamine, to slow the progress of Alzheimer's disease. Between 1979 and 1987 there has been a
thirteen-fold increase in the number of deaths from Alzheimer's disease
in the United States. To me this represents the increase in exposure to
aluminum that has happened to people in our society.

Slow Poisoning of America

MSG hides behind 25 or more names, such as  Natural Flavoring.' MSG is even in your favorite coffee  from Tim Horton's and  Starbucks coffee  shops!

 

I wondered if there  could be an actual chemical causing the massive obesity epidemic,  and so did a friend of mine, John Erb.
He was a research assistant  at the University ofWaterloo in Ontario, Canada , and spent years  working for the government.  He made an amazing discovery  while going through  s cientific journals for a book he was writing called The Slow Poisoning  of America.

In  hundreds of studies around the world, scientists were  creating obese mice and rats to use in diet or diabetes test studies.  No strain of rat or mice is naturally obese, so scientists  have to create them.  They make these  creatures morbidly obese by injecting them with
MSG when they are  first born.

The MSG triples the amount of insulin the  pancreas creates, causing rats (and perhaps humans) to become  obese.  They  even have a name for the fat  rodents they create:  'MSG-Treated  Rats.'

When I heard this, I  was shocked.  I went into my kitchen and checked the  cupboards and the refrigerator.  MSG was in everything -- the  Campbell 's soups, the Hostess Doritos, the Lays  flavored potato chips, Top Ramen, Betty Crocker Hamburger Helper,  Heinz canned gravy, Swanson frozen prepared meals, and Kraft salad  dressings,
Especially the 'healthy low-fat'  ones.

The items that didn't  have MSG marked on the product label had something called  'Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein,' which is just another name for  Monosodium Glutamate.

It  was shocking to see just how many of the foods we feed our children  everyday are filled with this  stuff.  MSG is hidden under many different names in order  to fool those who read the ingredient list, so that they don't  catch on.  (Other names for MSG are
'Accent,  'Aginomoto,' 'Natural Meat Tenderizer,'  etc.)

But it didn't stop  there.

When our family went  out to eat, we started asking at the restaurants what menu items  contained MSG.  Many employees, even the managers,  swore they didn't use  MSG.

But when we ask for  the ingredient list, which they grudgingly provided, sure enough,  MSG and Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein were  everywhere.

Burger King,  McDonald's, Wendy's, Taco Bell, every restaurant -- even the  sit-down eateries like TGIF, Chili's, Applebee's, and Denny's -- use  MSG in abundance.  Kentucky Fried Chicken seemed to be the WORST offender :  

MSG was in every chicken dish, salad  dressing and gravy.  No wonder I loved to eat that coating on  the skin -- their secret spice was  MSG!

So why is MSG in so  many of the foods we eat? Is it a preservative, or a  vitamin?

Not according to  my friend John Erb.  In his book The Slow Poisoning of  America, he said that MSG is added to food for the addictive effect  it has on the human  body.

Even the propaganda  website sponsored by the food manufacturers lobby group supporting  MSG explains that the reason they add it to food is  to make people eat  more.

A study of the  elderly showed that older people eat more of the foods that it is  added to.  The Glutamate Association lobbying group says  eating more is a benefit to the elderly, but what does it do to the  rest of us?

'Betcha can't  eat [just] one,' takes on a whole new meaning where MSG is  concerned!  And we wonder why the nation  is overweight!

MSG  manufacturers themselves admit that it addicts people to  their products.  It makes people choose their  product over others, and makes people eat more of it than they would  if MSG wasn't added.

Not only is MSG  scientifically proven to cause obesity, it is  an addictive substance.  Since its introduction into  the American food supply fifty years ago, MSG has been added in  larger and larger doses to the pre-packaged meals, soups,  snacks, and fast foods we are tempted to eat everyday.

The FDA has set  no limits on how much of it can be added to food. They claim it's  safe to eat in any amount.  But how can they claim it's  safe when there are hundreds of scientific studies with titles like  these:

'The monosodium  glutamate (MSG) obese rat as a model for the study of exercise in  obesity.'  Gobatto CA, Mello MA, Souza CT, Ribeiro IA.  Res Commun Mol Pathol Pharmacol.  2002.

'Adrenalectomy  abolishes the food-induced hypothalamic serotonin release in both  normal and monosodium glutamate-obese  rats.'  Guimaraes RB, Telles MM, Coelho VB, Mori C,  Nascimento CM, Ribeiro.  Brain Res  Bull. 2002 Aug.

'Obesity induced by neonatal  monosodium glutamate treatment in spontaneously hypertensive rats:  An animal model of multiple risk  factors.'

No, the date  of that last study was not a typo; it was published  in 1978..  Both the 'medical research community' and 'food  manufacturers' have known about the side effects of MSG for  decades.

Many more of the  studies mentioned in John Erb's book link MSG to diabetes,  migraines and headaches, autism, ADHD, and even Alzheimer's.

So what can we do to  stop the food manufactures from dumping this fattening and  addictive MSG into our food supply and causing the obesity epidemic  we now see?

Several months  ago, John Erb took his book and his concerns to one of the highest  government health officials in Canada   While he was sitting in the  government office,
the official told him, 'Sure, I know how bad MSG  is.  I wouldn't touch the stuff.' But this
top-level  government official refuses to tell the public what he  knows.

The big media  doesn't want to tell the public either, fearing issues with their  advertisers.  It seems that the fallout on the fast food  industry may hurt their profit margin.  The food producers  and restaurants have been addicting us to their products for years,  and now we are paying the price for it.  Our children  should not be cursed with obesity caused by an addictive  food additive.

But  what can I do about it?  I'm just one voice!  What can I  do to stop the poisoning of our children, while our governments are  insuring financial protection for the industry that is poisoning  us?

This message is going  out to everyone I know in an attempt to tell you the truth  that the corporate-owned politicians and media won't tell  you.

The best way you can  help to save yourself and your children from this drug-induced  epidemic is to forward this article to everyone.   With any  luck, it will circle the globe before politicians can pass the  legislation protecting those who are poisoning  us.

The food industry  learned a lot from the tobacco industry. Imagine if big tobacco had  a bill like this in place before someone blew the whistle on  nicotine?

We the public do  not want to be rats in one giant experiment, and we do not approve  of food that makes us into a nation of obese, lethargic, addicted  sheep, feeding the food industry's bottom line while waiting for the  heart transplant, the diabetic-induced amputation, blindness, or  other obesity-induced, life-threatening  disorders.

With your help  we can put an end to this poison.  Do your part  in sending this message out by word of mouth, e-mail, or by  distribution of this printout to your friends all over the world and stop this 'Slow Poisoning of Mankind' by the packaged food  industry.

Lets face it, the FDA, AMA, CMA, CDC, Blah, Blah, Blah are all working hand in hand with big Pharma. Jeez, did I almost forget to put a plug in for Monsanto.

 

Hell, we've been eating nuts, berries and veggies since we walked on all fours.  Our bodies and digestive tracts have developed over thousands of years eating the same foods. What's changed in the last 100 years, umm? Lets see, one of the biggies I can see is that poor Mom has been forced out of the home and kitchen to help the family pay for the ever increasing tide of taxes and indebtedness. Most of our meals are now out of a can or box. Hell even if you think you've got fresh fruits and veggies, do we really know whats been sprayed on it, or how it's DNA has been altered.

 

Think about that, for thousands of years we've been eating the same foods, then PHOOF, it seems like almost over night we have foods that have been enhanced with flavor additives, longevity enhancers, Genetically Modified Organisms GMO's, and the list goes on.

 

It took thousands of years to get our body the way it is, to digest the way it does, to absorb the way it does.

 

What's in a nut or seed - all the God given magic (life) that turns that seed/nut into a whole tree. Natures miracles, and she's done not a bad job.

 

Our bodies can not change overnight! So when man starts to manipulate the DNA of plants, actually change the plant on a molecular, cellular level can our bodies adapt as fast as these changes are taking place.

 

"You are what you eat" we've all heard it a thousand times. but what must be remembered is that anything we consume (eat or drink)  must be broken down by the body and used accordingly. When we start introducing chemically enhanced foods, foods that lack proper emzines, altered foods our bodies must cope with these.

And when our bodies can't cope with this onslaught - illness is usually the outcome. But don't worry highly qualified MD's will look into their magic book of pharmaceutical cures and tell you what pill will ease the pain ( not necessarily cure you).

Want an example: think "pasteurized milk" and "lactose intolerance".  Pasteurized milk (a man-made food) lacks the basic emzines the body needs to help break down that milk. But once consumed the body still has to deal with it, so it has to draw resources from within itself to help break down that milk. Do this over a long enough time and certain body parts (organs) suffer from depletion, hence illness.

 

"Codex Alimentarius"  wants to "Nuke" all our veggies and fruits etc. under the guise of protecting us from salmonella, bacteria, germs etc.  Sure it will prolong shelf-life too. But what it does is kills all living cells of that plant (reminds me of chemo-therapy). In essence you are eating DEAD food, the natural emzines your body needs to help break down that food are dead, inert. Hence the cycle begins, you eat dead food, your body must adjust (deplete) to break it down, you get sick, see your doctor, Big Pharma puts another dollar in the bank.

Oh, and if Codex Alimentarius has it way, Health food stores will be a thing of the past, so don't go thinking you'll make up the difference in lost vitamins and emzines that way.

 

But hey, I'm no Doctor, Nutritionist or Researcher so ignore the above, or research it for yourself, or take the easy way out and trust your government - they won't steer you wrong.
