Genesis 4:1-2

Genesis 4:1-2

Let’s look at Genesis 4:1-2 through the eyes of e-Sword and the Targum of Palestine.

From e-Sword. Gen 4:1 And AdamH121 knewH3045 (H853) EveH2332 his wife;H802 and she conceived,H2029 and bareH3205 (H853) Cain,H7014 and said,H559 I have gottenH7069 a manH376 fromH854 the LORD.H3068

Gen 4:2 And she againH3254 bareH3205 (H853) his brotherH251 (H853) Abel.H1893 And AbelH1893 wasH1961 a keeperH7462 of sheep,H6629 but CainH7014 wasH1961 a tillerH5647 of the ground.H127

Using e-Sword http://www.e-sword.net/downloads.html let’s see what is actually going here. (1) Adam [first man] knew [had sexual relations with] his wife [adulter]ess - see below H802]; became pregnant and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the Lord.

(2) And she again [see H3254 below] [to add or augment, proceed (further)] bare his brother Able [see H1893 below][Hebel].

I will not finish verse 2. What I wanted to reveal to the reader, I have completed. Notice the bible records Eve as an adulteress to her husband Adam. Ever heard that from the pulpit? There is a reason why. Hint: There was someone else who had sexual relations with her besides her husband Adam. Eve was carrying twins, both Cain and Able. Who was that other someone?

H802 נָשִׁים   אִשָּׁה 'ishshâh    nâshı̂ym ish-shaw', naw-sheem'

The first form is the feminine of H376 or H582; the second form is an irregular plural; a woman (used in the same wide sense as H582).: - [adulter]ess, each, every, female, X many, + none, one, + together, wife, woman. Often unexpressed in English.

H3254 יָסַף yâsaph yaw-saf' A primitive root; to add or augment (often adverbially to continue to do a thing): - add, X again, X any more, X cease, X come more, + conceive again, continue, exceed, X further, X gather together, get more, give moreover, X henceforth, increase (more and more), join, X longer (bring, do, make, much, put), X (the, much, yet) more (and more), proceed (further), prolong, put, be [strong-] er, X yet, yield.

H1893 הֶבֶל hebel heh'-bel The same as H1892; Hebel, the son of Adam: - Abel.

Here is what is recorded in the Targum of Palestine regarding the same scripture: And Adam knew Hava his wife, who had desired the Angel; and she conceived, and bare Kain; and she said, I have acquired a man, the Angel of the Lord. And she added to bear from her husband Adam his twin, even Habel.

Note that Eve or Hava conceived Kain through her desire for the Angle. Then she added to bear from her husband Adam his twin, even Habel. So what did happen in Genesis 4? I know...what do you say happened?
