Pro-vaxxers always says that "correlation does not equal causation" when talking about the rise of vaccination and the rise of autism. But in the case of the correlation of the decline of deaths from disease and the rise of vaccination, they are happy to use that phrase as a mantra, even though we know that simple hygiene was the cause of the decline in disease, a decline that happened in large part before vaccination even began.
