I started being interested in environmental 'things' in the 70's when I learned about the 'Two Tall Trees' program. That is where everyone who  has a car needs to plant two tall trees to counteract the pollution caused by the car.  Since then I have planted many trees and would dearly love to plant along the major highways of Australia, both for the environment and shade for weary travelers.

I set up my country home with Solar Power and totally enjoyed a bill free existence. Now I am in the city and solar as part of the Solar Bonus Scheme - not just to save money but as my contribution to society.   I believe that if those that could afford it would do the solar power thing on their property and sell back to the grid we would not need the power stations and carbon tax would not be an issue.  When are we going to get with the program?
