Soothe and prevent acid reflux naturally Acid Reflux, or GERD as it is commonly referred to, affects a great deal of the population.
Poor diet and stress are the most common contributors to this uncomfortable condition. It occurs when food is not properly broken down and digested by the stomach acids and enzymes. If left untreated, it can damage the lining of the oesophagus.
Instead of reaching f...or prescription medication (such as proton pump inhibitors), there are a number of natural and herbal remedies that one can make use of.

Drinking Water: Drinking water before and after a meal can assist with diluting stomach acids and with washing down any food which may want to return up the oesophagus. Water also aids the digestion process.

Apples and bananas: Eating apples and bananas after a meal has been shown to help alleviate acid reflux. Ensure that they are organic and that the apples are unpeeled. Chew them well before swallowing.

Other safe foods for those suffering from acid reflux include raw, organic dairy products, grass-fed beef, pineapple, carrots, cabbage, green vegetables and organic egg whites.

Organic Apple Cider Vinegar: One tablespoon taken in 4 ounces of water before meals has been shown to calm the stomach and help with digestion. It also helps to relieve the symptoms quickly.

Herbal Liquorice: This is available from most health shops in the form of tea or a tincture. It helps to coat the stomach with a protective gel or lining. Please note though, that this is the herbal liquorice root and not the candy.

Almonds: Chewing these nuts either in the morning or before each meal can also help to relieve acid reflux symptoms.

Aloe Vera Juice: One ounce of Aloe Vera juice mixed in two ounces of water can be taken as soon as the acid reflux symptoms start.

Papaya Enzyme: This has helped to end the symptoms of acid reflux in some people. It is normally available in pill format.

Herbal Tea: Peppermint and ginger teas aid with digestion, so they are also able to assist with relieving acid reflux symptoms.

Raw Coconut Milk and Coconut Oil: Drinking raw coconut milk and using coconut oil for cooking helps to relieve and prevent acid reflux as well.

Chamomile and Fennel Tea: These teas both have a soothing effect on the body. They work best when sipped slowly, and not too hot or cold.

Baking Soda: A spoonful of aluminium-free baking soda in a little water can be taken before the fizzing stops. This also helps to reduce the burning sensation substantially. After meals, avoid lying down, and take a walk. This will also aid digestion and help prevent acid reflux from occurring. Other forms of exercise have also been proven to be effective in reducing and eliminating these uncomfortable symptoms. It is the Ministry of NSearch that all inherit the Kingdom of God

But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law....

Now the works of the flesh are evident,

which are adultery fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,

idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies,

outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy,

murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like;

of which I (Paul the Apostle) tell you beforehand,

just as I also told you in time past, that those who

practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering,

kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control,

against such there is no law. Those who are Christ's

have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Let us not become conceited, provoking one another,

envying one another.

Galatians 5:18-26
