Airport Security Scanners are not for security.

You stop at red lights, you pay your taxes, you donate time to your community and yet when you want to board a plane you are considered guilty of attempting to commit a crime unless you submit to entering a radiation chamber. If you value your health and 'opt out' of being X-rayed then you are given an Enhanced Pat Down - a procedure that is equivalent to sexual assault if not done by an authorized agent. How did people allow things to degenerate to this level?

There are hundreds if not thousands of testimonials currently being uploaded to the internet that describe the Enhanced Pat Down procedure, the Brits call it the Foreplay Search. If someone on the bus or in a park palms a woman's crotch they go to jail. If some creep squeezes and twists a woman's breasts they get charged with sexual assault, go to jail and get a big "sexual predator bulls-eye" painted on them there. If a man's package is squeezed by a stranger they either like it, beat up the person or charge them with sexual assault. For some reason, and I guarantee you it is not for your security, the TSA has given their employees a directive to molest children and sexually assault adults in plain view of other scared travelers.

There are many reasons why people should not go through the scanners, 2 obvious ones being health and privacy.

While hospital radiologists need special training and certification to xray people holding lead over their reproductive organs, the TSA workers need no such certification and they calibrate the machine by focusing on your reproductive organs. Here's an article with many great links:

Those poor TSA employees are getting backscatter radiation for every scan, add that up over a year and you can see that while they may be given the authority to boss people around and perform enhanced pat downs, they will likely shave about 30 years off of their life expectancy - a small price to pay for earthly power!

Why do you think they do it? Could it be to train people to do whatever they are told, like "hey Mack, hit the showers!" Perhaps to find those agents who love the power so much they'll do anything, follow any order, no matter what. Maybe both.
