Artist Designs Faucet that Saves Water by Swirling it into Beautiful Patterns
By sending water through a double turbine, the water flowing through Qiu’s faucet design swirls to create a complex and beautiful network of water streams.
A beautiful and luxurious swirling-faucet designed has been created by Simin Siu – a student enrolled in design at London’s Royal College of Art. In addition to the mesmerizing visual appeal of Qiu’s faucet, the turbine component limits water use and flow by 15%.
The faucet comes with 3 different nozzles so the sink-owner can choose and switch between their favorite designs. The tap functions using a button on top, which helps it maintain its unique and sleek look. In 2014, Simin Qiu’s design won an iF Design concept award.
