Biblical Study Aids

In my study of the bible I use many sources of research. E-Sword http://www.e-sword.net/downloads.html is a free download to my computer that uses the Strong’s Concordance to reveal the original Hebrew and Greek words within the scripture texts.

Blue Letter Bible https://www.blueletterbible.org/ which allows me to look up bible words and phrases, look at bible texts in most versions and more.

I use a free Hebrew and Greek Lexicon https://biblehub.com/lexicon/ that allows me to further learn of the original Hebrew and Greek words of the bible.

I just discovered a new website Studylight.org https://www.studylight.org/lexicons/ that offers many services for free, such as: Tabs for Bible Study tools, Original Language Tools, Historical Writing Tools and more.

Book of Enoch on line http://www.hiddenbible.com/enoch/online.html The Book of Enoch (also 1 Enoch; Ge'ez: መጽሐፈ ሄኖክ mets’iḥāfe hēnoki) is an ancient Jewish religious work, ascribed by tradition to Enoch, the great-grandfather of Noah. The older sections (mainly in the Book of the Watchers) of the text are estimated to date from about 300 BC, and the latest part (Book of Parables) probably to the first century BC.

It is not part of the biblical canon as used by Jews, apart from Beta Israel. Most Christian denominations and traditions may accept the Books of Enoch as having some historical or theological interest, but they generally regard the Books of Enoch as noncanonical or noninspired. It is regarded as canonical by the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church and Eritrean Orthodox Tewahedo Church, but not by any other Christian groups.

It is wholly extant only in the Ge'ez language, with Aramaic fragments from the Dead Sea Scrolls and a few Greek and Latin fragments. For this and other reasons, the traditional Ethiopian belief is that the original language of the work was Ge'ez, whereas non-Ethiopian scholars tend to assert that it was first written in either Aramaic or Hebrew; Ephraim Isaac suggests that the Book of Enoch, like the Book of Daniel, was composed partially in Aramaic and partially in Hebrew. No Hebrew version is known to have survived. It is asserted in the book itself that its author was Enoch, before the Biblical Flood.

Targum of Palestine http://targum.info/pj/pjgen1-6.htm The targumim (singular: "targum", Hebrew: תרגום) were spoken paraphrases, explanations and expansions of the Jewish scriptures (also called the Tanakh) that a rabbi would give in the common language of the listeners, which was then often Aramaic. That had become necessary near the end of the 1st century BCE, as the common language was in transition and Hebrew was used for little more than schooling and worship.

The main reason I use study aids is to help me know the truth written in the bible. I have visited many “church congregations” and found none to teach the whole” truth of the Word of God from the pulpit. I have been blessed by my searching the scriptures in finding the truth. I learn more all the time. I understand the Lord God more clearly now. There is more information available on line to assist in research.

It is the Ministry of NSearch that all inherit the Kingdom of God

But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law....

Now the works of the flesh are evident,

which are adultery fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,

idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies,

outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy,

murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like;

of which I (Paul the Apostle) tell you beforehand,

just as I also told you in time past, that those who

practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering,

kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control,

against such there is no law. Those who are Christ's

have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Let us not become conceited, provoking one another,

envying one another.

Galatians 5:18-26
