Solar LED Lighting Solution: 10.5 Watt LED Light Replaces Traditional Light 40-60 Watt Light Bulbs
Philips is coming out with a 10.5 Watt LED light that will replace traditional 40-60 Watt incandescent light bulbs. This is good news for your electricity bill since it uses 73.5% less energy than a 40 Watt bulb, and 82.5% less than a 60 Watt bulb, while producing about the same amount of light at 800 lumens.
If you’re off grid now or planning to go off grid, then these little LED lights can light your house or cabin for a fraction of the cost of traditional incandescents. Lets face it, if you’re NOT using LED lighting, you’re wasting energy. If the same amount of light can be generated using 70-80% less energy, then why use traditional light bulbs at all? Price for these bulbs is reported to be around $9 or so each and will last much longer than regular light bulbs.
Cree is producing a 60 Watt replacement LED light that is 13.5 Watts. The advantage being that Cree has already got these LED lights on the market.
