I can help you develop helpful insights and empowering breakthroughs in your individual life, personal relationships, and compassionate social activism. This involves developing genuine experiential self-understanding as the basis of liberating self-transformation; healing emotional pain and inner conflict; developing inner peace, happiness, creativity, and spiritual awareness; as well as developing psychologically healthy, deeply satisfying, personal relationships, with true love, empathic intimacy, and good communication; and extending similar principles as a way of transforming social networks, local communities, and global society for the better. I can help you explore any kind of interpersonal relationship issue, including marriage and family relationships, as well as other kinds of significant personal relationships. I can also help you gain insight in regard to any kind of developmental, vocational, psychological, spiritual, or societal, issue that may be important to you, e.g., clarifying your basic goals and values in life; fulfilling your natural individual creative potentials and developing greater levels of productive functioning; coping with crises or difficult life circumstances; developing greater maturity of character and beneficial personal transformation; helping other individuals and contributing to positive betterment of society through your career, volunteer work, and personal life; and so on. I can show you how to deal effectively with the necessary challenges and opportunities of life that arise.

In my relationship advising services, I can help you learn how to develop clear, honest, sincere, non-evasive, respectful, nonjudgmental (non-blaming), compassionate, meaningful, communication with other individuals, as a way of producing greater levels of mutual empathetic understanding, constructive conflict resolution, and bringing out the best in one another, in your personal relationships. I can also help you understand how connecting to other individuals, in unselfish, deeply caring, relationships, can enable you to tap into a relational source of regenerative life energy, for enhanced vitality, emotional healing, psychological and spiritual growth, optimal wellbeing, creative insight, inspiration, as well as holistic healing of heart, mind, and body.

In addition to offering insightful coaching for issues pertaining to enhancing your own individual life and personal relationships, I am also able to provide insight for issues related to contributing to the constructive, compassionate transformation of contemporary society. This involves understanding how the regenerative spiritual reality of love can gradually, beneficially, synergistically or co-creatively, transform the collective heart of humanity, from a predominantly selfish, fearful, abusive, predatory, addictive, toxic, orientation, to a more unselfish, compassionate, relaxed, secure, psychologically healthy, orientation. I am also able to serve as a spiritual Vision Quest facilitator for individuals and groups who wish to explore ways of compassionately bringing out the best in human society.

My Credentials: I have an interdisciplinary PhD in Religious Studies/History of Religions/Spirituality from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California, and a Masters degree in Religious Studies/History of Religions/Spirituality from Harvard University. My graduate studies emphasized the role of religion and spirituality in shaping the history and culture of various regions of the world, as well as how inspirational spiritual wisdom teachings can be applied in practical ways as a way of improving and uplifting daily life in the world. I have also taken extensive graduate level coursework and supervised practicums in Psychology and Counseling. I have many years of experience in life coaching and mentoring, and have published two books and numerous articles that discuss the basis of holistically healing and uplifting our individual life, personal relationships, and society. Other significant background includes, many years of working with, and learning from, my late father, Dr. Max Hammer, who was a highly effective and insightful psychotherapist, Professor of Clinical Psychology, and awakened spiritual teacher.
