God, Hope & Helping Others
"And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are Thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are Thy ways, Thou King of saints" (Rev 15:3).
In times gone by, before Christ, the people sang the song of Moses (Ex 15:1-2), and afterwards their song was that of the Lamb. Both the song of Moses (deliverance from the world), and the song of the Lamb (initial salvation), are necessary and tremendous; but I tell you, today is the day for a new song: He is putting a new song in hearts in a world rushing headlong towards the cliffs.
When God created man, He put tabrets and pipes within him: "Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God" Look at the glory that was Adam's covering and consider what a tragedy the loss or falling short that occurred when sin entered
The workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created" (Ezk 28:13). Why were you and I created with tabrets and pipes? So we would be able to speak, sing and praise God. Wow! You and I were created singers but we have let the world and sin rob us of our inheritance: Forget the Eurovision song contest: Sind a new song every day and let the Holy Spirit suply the words. I am speaking of a spiritual song: not a natural song. We are born with an amazing built-in musical instrument; our voic
A musical performance is a partnership between composer and performer. God formed us with vocal cords, and a windpipe. The upper part of the windpipe contains the vocal cords. Ah, yes the windpipe. Do you know what goes through that pipe? -- the wind, the air. Spiritually speaking, it is the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:1-4, John 3:8 ).
"He put a new song in my heart" Yes and He will: Today!
The scriptures tell us so much about this beautiful song. We read that we will sing a new song numerous times throughout the Bible. Yet most of the songs are only praises of adoration unto God and Jesus. There is a difference between just singing and praising God and this new song: This new song is simply expressing and revealing the glory and joy of the Lord even without words:
"Sing unto Him a new song; play skillfully with aloud noise" (Ps 33:2-3).
"And He hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord" (Ps 40:3).
"I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee" (Ps 144:9).
There are many many songs out there but you have a special privilege: There is one song only the redeemed can sing: "... They sung a NEW SONG, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation" (Rev 5:9). "And they sing a NEW SONG before the throne, and the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth" (Rev 14:3).
Now that day is coming soon but today is the rehearsal: Practice makes perfect: Sing it in the shower; in the fields and on the way to and from work: Sing it to your children and your precious ones: Don't be shy: Sing aloud as He is also rejoicing over you with singing:
What is this new song? Its the joy and wonder and amazement and glory of the risen Lord Jesus:
