A Proctical Bible Study on the book of Revelations.

Bible Progressions No. 7 Tribulation
A practical study of the Book of Revelations.
Rev 1:1
The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew
unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and
he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
(KJV)
Preface
The word, in the written form we have today, existed long before time itself. Moses was given the first written text, before that there had never been any "hard copy" of the Bible. God allowed mankind as much of the Holy Scripture as was necessary for that specific period of time. Today we have the entire word of God, THE HOLY BIBLE, the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the old testament and the new, from Genesis to Revelation.
The law of Moses served as an instructor to the people of Israel. By obeying the law, the Jews where made separate, holy and acceptable to God.
A vessel was prepared, through which God would enter into this world as a man. Jesus Christ was born, lived, died, buried, and on the third day He arose again from the dead. Jesus conquered death, hell and the grave, and to Christ was given all power in Heaved and in earth. To man was given the complete plan of Salvation. The word of God can tell us many things and will reveal what God would have us to know.

THE TIME HAS COME FOR REVELATION.
Thank God for the those who preach this Truth

God will move His Church beyond the boundaries,
Removing all limitations.

I have scratched, dug and studied the scripture for some twenty- three years.
Because of a desire for understanding, the Lord has brought certain scriptures to my awareness.
God will give us what we need.

INTRODUCTION
Rev 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John: (KJV)
Webster's colligate dictionary defines the word signify in this way: to be a sign of, to show esp. by a conventional token (as word, signal, of gesture).
The book of revelation is like no other book in the Bible in the fact that it tells the story, though symbolic means, of the end of the church age and of the world. The images and visions John was shone reveal events of cataclysmic proportions, however, that which he saw was to a large extent symbolic in nature. The church is represented in many different manners of symbolism and typology, showing various qualities and characteristics. Don't be confused by all the language which is used, there is only one church, one method of salvation, one final experience, and that will be tribulation.
Eph 4:5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, (KJV)...and one church.

Symbol: something that stands for or suggests something else be reason of relationship, association, convention, or accidental resemblance; esp: a visible sign of something invisible ( the lion is a symbol of courage ).
Typology: Study of or analysis or classification based on types or categories.
It can also be said that some of John's visions where literal events, the actual occurrence, in which he described those events in the best way he knew how. John referred to what he saw in terms of things which where familiar to him in that day. The most advanced weapons of warfare during John's time were the spear and the arrow and bow. He certainly knew nothing of ICBM's, helicopters. jet plains, or tanks.
Why study the information in the book of Revelation ? Revelation is a telescopic view of time which focuses on the last three and one half years of life on earth. This information answers questions which have not been asked as of yet. Who will be involved, how this involvement will affect the church, when these things shall begin ( signs of the end ), and a sequence of
increasingly severe events. During this time your pastor probably won’t be available to ask about decisions to be made. It will be invaluable to know the answer before the question is asked. Each situation will require a decision and a response. Many solutions will be offered, however, none will be the right choice. Deceit will rule society and the majority of humanity will
be lost forever. Knowing the proper choice or decision will mean the difference between heaven and hell. Please understand why you should study the book of Revelation. The hardest decision will be the right decision, the path of greatest resistance is the right path, the steepest hill is the one that leads to heaven.
The big question is when will the Tribulation begin?
The angel spoke of the period of time until these things would take place as short. According to history, John wrote the book around A.D. 69, some 1934 years has elapsed since then
Why study the book of revelations? So you won't be decived, the right decision will mean the defference bettween being saved or lost for eternity.
Mark 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

Jesus said:
Mark 13:19-37
19 For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be.
20 And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.
21 And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not:
22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.
23 But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.
24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,25 And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.
26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.
28 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:
29 So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.
30 Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done.
31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
34 For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.
37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch. (KJV)
Acts 1:6-7
6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. (KJV)
The apostle Paul said that those who are not in darkness would recognize and understand those series of events as they happened. You must realize that only a minority of people are going to be aware of what is taking place, and as it is today, a very small number have begun to understand how serious the time of tribulation will be.
1Thes 5:1-4
1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. (KJV)
Matt 24:38-39
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. (KJV)
Luke 17:28-30
28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. (KJV)

THE THIRD DAY.
Exod 10:22-23
22 And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days:
23 They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings. (KJV)
Exod 19:16
16 And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled. (KJV)
Josh 1:11 Pass through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare you victuals; for within three days ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the LORD your God giveth you to possess it. (KJV)
Esth 5:1-2
1 Now it came to pass on the third day, that Esther put on her royal apparel, and stood in the inner court of the king's house, over against the king's house: and the king sat upon his royal throne in the royal house, over against the gate of the house.
2 And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight: and the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that was in his hand. So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre. (KJV)
John 2:19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up. (KJV)
Luke 13:31-32
31 The same day there came certain of the Pharisees, saying unto him, Get thee out, and depart hence: for Herod will kill thee.
32 And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the third day I shall be perfected. (KJV)
Jesus Christ was arrested late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning, tried and crucified Thursday and placed in the grave. His body remained in the grave Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night. On Sunday morning He rose from the dead, on the third day.

Mark 16:2 And very early in the morning the first day of the week, they came unto the sepulchre at the rising of the sun. (KJV)
2 Pet 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. (KJV)
THE PROPHETIC DAY.
GOD'S Time - MAN'S Time.
One day. 1,000 yrs. - 360,000 days
One hour. 15,000 days - 41 yrs., 1 mon., 5 days.
One minute. 250 days - 35.7 weeks.
One second. 100 hours - 4.16 days.
We are very near the beginning of the third day according to God's prophetic time table
which will begin at the catching away of the church.

The question should be asked, why has God not made this information more transparent?
God's purpose is to conceal the true meaning of this book and other scriptures from the general public. Devine revelation is for those who have a desire for truth and are willing to receive it. As Jesus often used parables when speaking to large groups of people, so the book of Revelation has been configured in the same way.
Matt 13:10-11
10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given. (KJV)
Matt 13:35 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world. (KJV)
There are some areas of scripture that will stay hidden and will not be revealed until after the church has been caught away.
2 Cor 12:4 How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter. (KJV)

Rev 10:4 And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not. (KJV)
Rev 14:3 And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth. (KJV)
1 Cor 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. (KJV)
Prov 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter. (KJV)
This book is clouded in mystery and thoroughly misunderstood, but an understanding of much of it's meaning can be reached. Let us consider one key which will help unlock some of these mysteries. Many of the words and descriptions in the book of Revelation have been used in other portions of the Bible, so a good knowledge of scripture is essential in understanding it's meaning. Think of it as a jigsaw puzzle with a million pieces, a lot of time and effort has to be spent in sorting out and assembling. Only the pieces that came in the box will fit and as they are put together the picture begins to appear. Jesus will hand us some of the pieces Himself, that is, when we stand in His Holy presents and only at that time will we see the complete picture.
John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. (KJV)
2 Tim 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (KJV)
1 Cor 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. (KJV)
Eph 3:3-5
3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)
5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; (KJV)
Webster's says it like this. Tribulation: distress or suffering resulting from oppression or persecutions; a trying experience.
Tribulation is a period of time referred to and described in the Bible. What it means to various people differs greatly, however, the scripture is not swayed by opinion and conjecture. Many books of fiction have been written attempting to tell the story of tribulation.
The Bible is specific and exact in description and explanation, interpretation of the scriptures must be confined to the scriptures.
2 Pet 1:20-21
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. (KJV)
2 Tim 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: (KJV)
2 Cor 13:1 This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established. (KJV)
From Genesis to Revelation, from Moses to John the Divine, we have our witnesses, these patriarchs and prophets compiled the perfect and complete word of God. The hope of this Bible study is to show though scriptural evidence and logical conclusion, the events and conditions which will directly effect the church during the tribulation, to challenge your assumptions about the Bible and to establish a true basis of belief.
Heb 1:1-2
1 God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; (KJV)

Revised Statment: 9-6-2013
Joel 2:28-29
28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:
29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.(KJV)
This old testament prophecy was quoted by the apostle Paul on the day of Pentacost in book of Acts. This event marks the begining of the church age or the despensation of Grace, the sixth dispensation.
Acts 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:(KJV)
This revision to the bible study is to clarify the chronology of events in a more accurate manner.
The calendar system that is in use today was created by man, not by God. Biblical chronology should be determined by the Bible and not by man, from a devine source and not a secular one. The begining and the ending of various periods of time can be identified by scripture, of which there are seven called dispensations. We are in the sixth dispensation, the chruch age or the age of Grace. Most people consider the current system of time keeping to be accurate, however, by studing the julian-gregorian [ solar - pagan] calendar, you will find that it is inaccurate, how inaccurate would be difficult to determine. An important fact to understand is that it is not the year 2013, the calendar year of this revision, the acutual year is a bit of a toss up and to the church that really doen't make any difference because they should alien themselves with Biblical time keeping, God's chronology. Let it also be mentioned that the Jewish calendar is based on the lunar cycle and they do not identify the birth of Christ, A.D. or the Latin Anno Domini. According to the Hebrew calendar the year is 5774, which marks the age of the earth from the creation.
The only reliable information that Christian's have is the Holy Bible.
2 Tim 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:(KJV)
On God's calendar and for the church, the year one [ A.D.] started on the day of Pentacost, which was 33 and one half years plus 40 days after the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ.
One important fact which has been left out of the equation is that 33 and a half years plus forty days must be added to the present calendar year [2013] which will give us a corrected timeline, from the day of Pentacost to the caughting away. This is not a prediction of an exact day for the event, it only gives a better perspective of when it will occure.
Matt 25:13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.(KJV)
1Thes 5:1-6
1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.
3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.(KJV)
Christ rose on the third day, the chruch which is a type of Christ and will also rise on the third day, using prophetic days, that is a 1,000 years is a day, it can be determined that at the begining of the third thousand year period of time, the third prophetic day, the church will "be caught away". The conclution is that we have many years before the catching away takes place.
By applying the math,
2013
+33.6 years [which includes the 40 days]
______
2047.5 [Aproximate date of the caughting away,
this figure would depend on the accuracy of the calendar.]
This information only brings the future into a little better focus and lets us know more about the stage of events that are to take place. The global system will already be established long before the man of sin, the anti-christ, becomes dictator of the world. The forty and two months, the tribulation period, won't begin for many years. The transition to the global economic, political and religious system will have already taken place, the world will be a much different place.
None of this changes the duty of the Christian, for we are a type of Christ.
Luke 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.(KJV)

Now the works of the flesh are evident,

which are adultery fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,

idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies,

outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy,

murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like;

of which I (Paul the Apostle) tell you beforehand,

just as I also told you in time past, that those who

practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering,

kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control,

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Let us not become conceited, provoking one another,
