God, Hope & Helping Others

In 1984 I was a journeyman cashier at a grocery store. One day I was leaning against the office door jam chatting with the asst. mgr. when, in the midst of our conversation, I was pulled from my body. I had entered a tunnel. I was going somewhere at a fantastic rate of speed. What seemed like 1 to 2 seconds later I reentered my body with a small lurch backward. I knew I had been somewhere (not hell) but heaven. After I returned to my body, while looking at the man I remembered saying out loud this: “I need to know Jesus”. Still looking at him, I made a left hand turn out of the office doorway and went back to work. Please note that the entire time I was away from the office we were still in conversation. Later, I could recall that I was actually gone from my body for a longer period of time than 1-2 seconds. You see time was the same while in the grocery store, yet while out of my body time was extended. I had somehow been in the presence of Jesus and most likely the Father also. Time with them was at a different rate than within the grocery store. By the way, I was not born again (John 3:3) until a few months later. Several scriptures in bible describes an event that will take place in the last days. 1 Corinthians 15:51-52 ‘(51) Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, (52) In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed’. 2 Thessalonians 2:1-3 ‘(1) Now we beseech you. Brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto Him, (2) That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. (3) Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;’ 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 ‘(13) But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. (14) For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him; (15) For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. (16) For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: (17) Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord’. Now my topic is “Time”, not the catching away of the bride. I already wrote on that in an earlier discussion. What I’m focusing on here are the many things that take place on earth and in the clouds when Jesus comes for His bride. Notice that this event takes place “in the twinkling of an eye”. In that twinkling here are some of the events that take place: the graves open up and release the dead in Christ, a trumpet will sound, those who are alive brides are gathered together in the air to meet the dead in Christ in the clouds with Jesus. There will first be a falling away of the Christians, and the man of sin be revealed. In 1 Corinthians 5:51 the Apostle Paul states that this event is a mystery and he wants us to know about it. Just as I experienced in the grocery store, there is a moment of time (me chatting with my store asst. mgr.) that kept on as normal for we who were chatting; yet time was at a different speed for me when out of my body. Yet when I returned to my body I entered again into the realm of time as I knew it while in the grocery store. That is a mystery I had to deal with. I provide this information for your consideration of time. He Who controls time has the greatest power.

It is the Ministry of NSearch that all inherit the Kingdom of God

But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law....

Now the works of the flesh are evident,

which are adultery fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,

idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies,

outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy,

murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like;

of which I (Paul the Apostle) tell you beforehand,

just as I also told you in time past, that those who

practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering,

kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control,

against such there is no law. Those who are Christ's

have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Let us not become conceited, provoking one another,

envying one another.

Galatians 5:18-26

{Sorcery: "Pharmakia;" Primarily mentioned as one of the "works of the flesh." In "sorcery" the use of drugs. Blue Letter Bible. Galatians 5:20}
