From what I understand about military spending for jets at least; during the Clinton Presidency (maybe before into the Bush Sr. Presidency), military contracts with US companies for radar, guidance, firing, propulsion, etc and parts for those systems, were cancelled and the contracts were given to China. Is it any wonder there are so many accidents and downed aircraft? Would China sabotage USA military capability? You bet they would! Traitors abound in the US military, government and big business.
